Maintenance Coordinator (Part-Time)

The Southside Virginia Family YMCA is seeking an energetic individual to manage the upkeep and repair of the building, grounds and equipment of Southside Virginia family center.

This includes maintaining a clean and organized work area at all times, responsibility for organizing all storage/supply rooms, setting up for events, carry out maintenance duties; inclusive of electronic and manual equipment upkeep, chemical regulation, and preventive actions to assure safety for individuals using the facility and pools. Additional responsibilities include advising management on maintenance issues and projects as requested, insuring that assigned vehicles (and other equipment) are maintained and operated in accordance with the policies and procedures of the YMCA.

This position will report directly to the YMCA of Central Virginia’s Association Facilities Director, keeping the Director informed of plans, progress and challenges.

Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience. Required to have knowledge and understanding of as well as perform maintenance and/or repairs in the areas of: construction, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, grounds and pool maintenance.

Monday-Thursday: 5:30 am – 9 pm

Friday: 5:30 am – 8 pm

Saturday: 7 am – 5 pm

Sunday: 1 pm – 5 pm
