  • The Southside Virginia Family YMCA plans to open at regular hours.

Additional snow is expected this weekend, and conditions may change. We are closely monitoring the weather. If operational changes occur, updates will be shared in the following order:

Friday, January 30th, 2026:

  • The Southside Virginia Family YMCA will be open at normal hours (5:30 AM - 7 PM)

    • All areas and programs will operate as scheduled

LIGHTNING AND THUNDER POLICY:  Please note that for member safety we will close the pool in thirty minute increments when thunder or lightning are present. We recommend visiting our mobile app prior to coming to the Y during times of inclement weather.
